We have found the WWI Registration card but that is the only verified document. We have two possible matches in the censuses, but neither of them is verified. Attaching them and a picture of John/Jack

Here is the info on John/Jack Swanson:

Jack/John Swanson was born as Janne Svensson in Ödeborg, Sweden in April 27th 1881.

He left Sweden in 1909 when his wife Alma was pregnant with their first and only child. She gave birth to him and he grew up with Alma and John/Jack’s parents Sven Zackrisson and Karolina Pettersdotter. Jack kept in touch with his family until 1917-1918 when the mails suddenly stopped and not any word has been heard since. They tried to track him down with help of the Red Cross, but in 1928 they got an answer that their search of John/Jack Swanson was unsuccessful.

His wife Alma was probably going after him but her health was not good and she never left Sweden. As mentioned above they kept in touch for approx. 8 years, but after that silence.

date of birth 26th of Sept. 1873. He lived in Winber, PA.
We do not know what happened to him.
