Would appreciate any information about Marven J. Gjerde or his family that resided in the Bozeman, Gallatin County, from 1945 to his death in June 1949. He lived in Livingston prior to moving to Bozeman and his parents, then he, owned a sheep ranch at the foot of the Crazy Mountains about 7 miles from Springdale. He married Josephine M. Batch (from Helena) in 1941. His son, John, was born in Livingston on 19 May 1942 and he had two daughters, Stephne (born 28 April 1945) and Jayne (born 19 August 1948). Marven did serve in the Army for a short period of time at the end of WWII. He was killed in a car accident, by Laurel, in June 1949. He was buried in Sunset Hills Cemetry on 6 June 1949. Have a copy of the obitary from the Bozeman newspaper, but desire to know more about him, his parents, etc.
