Hello,
I have a question. Based on some old family letters and photos, I would like to know how to find out if an old house is still standing? It belonged to Henry H. GILMAN, built probably around 1917. Maybe earlier. It was on the Deep Creek. Could anyone possibly find a land description at the court house and then do a drive by and see if the house is still there?
I have found a picture of it, and at the bottom it says it was the first house he built, on the Deep Creek. Henry Gilman's first wife was a sister to my great-grandmother, named Bulah Gossett Gilman. Bulah died during the 1918 flu epidemic, and lost her baby girl at the same time. A few years later Henry H. Gilman remarried, to Jessie CORN. They later had a daughter, and I wonder if she is still around the area?
I am working on a family history that I would love to donate when finished.
