I am interested in "old" Louis or Louie Brun/Brown. He married Emily, daughter of a Kalispel Indian Chief. He was born about 1811 in Quebec. I have info on him from the 1860,1870 and 1880 census. An entry on FHC (LDS) indicates he died in Montana 17 Mar 1889, but I have no proof of that.

I also have copies of mentions here and there in Montana history books, but what I am really looking for is enough information that I can trace him back to his parents.

If anyone has info on Emily's parents, that would be fantastic. All I have been able to find is: Goshea, Goetsche, Tchitaoslii, etc., but nothing definitive and nothing about the Chief. Emily died 14 May 1904 in Montana
