Hi
I called the Pondera Clerk & Recorder but they do not have the Bridston name in the grantee or the grantor books for the purchase or sale of the land by 1925. Pondera County was FORMED in 1919. Before that it was Teton County MT. You could contact the Clerk & Recorder of Teton County.

I did find in the Pondera Book Francis Heights School was Part of Valier School Districe 18 - Samuel Bridston was in School District 18 on the 1920 Census - This was organized in 1910 Teton County MT. It was in the Lake Francis area.

Two of Samuel's daughter's were school teachers. They taught at Francis Heights school Ruth Bridston 1918 - 1919 and her sister 1919 - 1920. The lady who wrote the article could not remember the sisters name.

Helen Bridston taught at the Manson School 1927 - 1928.

I did fine Joseph Bridston WWI Draft listing he was a student at U of M ( at Missoula) and lived at fathers farm Valier , Teton Co MT - 1918.

On the BLM site the only homesteads I could fine are Mandius Bridston filed 1920 Roosevelt Co MT and Oscar Bridston filed 1927 Roosevelt Co MT.

Sam's wife Borgild Bridston dies 10 December 1924. Have you tried the newspaper in Conrad for the obit. The Independent Observer #7 3rd Ave SE Conrad MT 59425 406 271 5561.
Possibly the Valierian - Valier's newspaper might have an obit 406 271 3440 or th Choteau Acantha 406 2403. Choteau is the county seat of Teton County.

Linda
