I'm trying to find out what attracted immigrants to Nebraska during the late 1800's and early 1900's. Was land being offered free or very inexpensive? Was there promise of jobs? I had Danish ancestors who settled in Nebraska about 1900 and wanted to find reason why they would have selected Nebraska.

Any information would be appreciated.
