"Mrs. PECK is insane. Mrs. Ada PECK, the unfortunate woman who created a sensation by going in among the mailing clerks at the post office, has been arrested, and is now held at the county jail. The woman has been an incurable insane person for a long while, and until recently was taken care of by her son, but recently it became impossible to control her."
Omaha World Herald, 8 October 1893, Page 7.
Can anyone tell me where the County Judge would have sent Ada PECK after her court hearing? Are such records still available?
Ada (or Adelaide) PECK was born in 1850 in Michigan.
Thank you for any help or suggestions.
