From the MONROE CITY SEMI-WEEKLY NEWS, December 30, 1927:
MRS. C.A. MOORE DIED IN OMAHA - BODY WILL BE BROUGHT TO MONROE CITY FOR BURIAL.
"Mrs. C.A. Moore, daughter of Lee Pierceall of this city, died in a hospital in Omaha early Thursday morning. She had been ill since last spring, suffering from heart trouble and her condition had been critical for the past three weeks. The body will be brought to Monroe City this Friday morning, but arrangements for the funeral had not been made.
"Hazel Pierceall was born in Monroe County Aug. 17, 1892. She was never very strong and about ten years ago, went to Nebraska for a change and was benefitted, seeming to grow much stronger. In 1920, she was married to Clair A. Moore of Omaha, who with one son, Bobbie, survives. She also leaves her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Pierceall, two sisters and two brothers, Miss Alma Pierceall of St. Louis, Mrs. Earl Kendrick, near Lakenan and Lee and Eldon Pierceall of this city."
