Thanks for the reply! My grandmother, Mary Kathryn Gillan was born in Exeter along with her siblings. Quite proud of her Gillan heritage. Wound up Lincoln where I am.
The Gillans I'm most interested in follow; I'm given to understand there are probably siblings and/or cousins of my great-grandfather George Kinnear Gillan in the area.
The following siblings of my grandmother are probably in an Exeter cemetery:
James Johnson Gillan, 1900 - 1906;
Sarah Jane Gillan, 1901-1903;
Paul Elton Gillan, 1909-1933;
Mother, Lucy Alma McNeal Gillan, 1875-1925;
Father, George Kinnear Gillan, 1858-1909;
My grandmother's maternal grandparents might be there,
James Paschal McNeal, 1838-1897;
Sarah Emily Harrison, 1840-1926;
Stretching things a little bit, George K. Gillan's siblings:
Anna K. Gillan (unknown if she married but evidence suggests she came to Exeter) 1861-1946;
David K. Gillan, 1872-1958;
Trying to keep this on-topic, noticed in your profile you're looking for Maiers from Germany/NE/KS. My wife's great-grandparents Maier came from Germany, settled in Araphahoe/Holbrook NE. We have very little info on them beyond that.
