Drowned in the Elkhorn

Gretna, Neb. June 21 - Frank Freivat, a Bohemian farm hand, about 23 years of age, employed by a farmer named Humphrey, living near town, was drowned about 2 o'clock this afternoon, while bathing in the Elkhorn river near the bridge. He had just crossed the river and was swimming back when he was caught under the riprap and could not escape. His body had not been recovered at a late hour tonight.
