Would like any information on the descendants of Conrad Wachter, born about 1838 in Bavaria, Married Katherina, born about 1838 in Bavaria. According to the 1880 Census they were living in Stanton, Stanton County, Nebraska and had two children John Wachter, born March 1866 in Bavaria and Anna Barbara, born 21 Jan 1869 in Bavaria, died 19 Jun 1941 in Wadena, Wadena County, Minnesota. Anna Barbara Wachter, my grandmother, married George Berz, born May 1859 in Germany, committed suicide in about 1900 in Spring Branch, Stanton County, Nebraska. According to the 1900 Census, they had four children, Gretta Berz, born Feb 1889, John Carl Berz, born 02 Apr 1891, Mary Berz, born May 1893, & Emma Berz, born Sep 1897. I believe all of George Berz & Anna Barbara Wachter's children were born in either Stanton or Spring Branch, Stanton County, Nebraska and Emma and Gretta Berz may have also died in Nebraska at a very young age. George is listed in the 1899 Nebraska State Atlas Name index in Stanton and under notes it lists "T24N, R1E, Spring Ra'c." After George Berz died in About 1900, Anna Barbara Wachter relocated to Hoskins, Wayne County, Nebraska, where her parent's had relocated sometime before 1890 and she remarried Jacob Rohwer, born 26 Apr 1859 in Germany, died 17 December 1955 in Pierce, Pierce County, Nebraska. Anna Barbara Wachter Berz & Jacob had eight children together, all born in either Hoskins or Winside, Wayne County, Nebraska. They were Lena Rohwer Dovenmuehle, born 21 Jan 1902, Ben Rohwer, born 28 Apr 1904, William Rohwer, born 28 Dec 1906, Ella Rohwer Haugen, born 06 Jan 1909, Elsie Rohwer Buss, born 10 Apr 1910, George Rohwer who I believe died in Nebraska at a very young age, Ervin Hans Rohwer, born 10 Apr 1912, Ernest Julius Rohwer, born 18 Aug 1913. In about 1913, Anna Barbara Wachter Berz & Jacob relocated to Otter Tail County, Minnesota where Anna Barbara Wachter Berz Rohwer died in 1941 & Jacob Rohwer relocated to Pierce, Pierce County, Nebraska in 1951 so that his daughter Elsie Rohwer could care for him. Jacob Died in Pierce, Pierce County Nebraska on 17 December 1955 and he and his wife are both buried in the Wadena Cemetery, Wadena, Wadena County, Minnesota.
