Trying to find info for Children of Richard Andrew HARRIS and Alice HARRIS ne: Bogeke (sp?)
Richard Eugene HARRIS DOB abt 1909 died 1911
Sylvia [Silvia] HARRIS DOB 1908 died abt 1911
**Bessie HARRIS DOB 1904 in Woodbine, Iowa. My father was born in 1921. The birth certificate says father "said to be" Marlin BEALS. I was told they eventually were married but I don't find ANY record at all. I have had a very difficult time locating info. The 1910 census has them in Walthill, Thurston County. The family is listed in Souix City, Iowa directory in 1913. I would like to locate graves for the two children and any information for Bessie, Richard or Alice HARRIS and Marlin George BEALS. Is there a website of cemeteries or graves in Thurston County? Marriage or birth records online 1900-1915? Thanks,

I am looking for any information reguarding my family. My grandfather's name is Richard Eugene Judd. His mother was Nellie Leonard Judd Brummond. His father was Lewis John Judd. He has a half sister named Mabel. Unfortunately, I know little information on any of my grandpa's family. Nellie was born in Pender as well as my grandpa. If anyone has information, I would greatly appreciate it.

Looking for any information on Kate Pierson who resided in Walthill in 1913, married in Sioux City on April 14, 1913 to Elisha Findlay. Kate was of Swedish background and I'd like to know why she was living in Walthill, and what her occupation was. She had Ruth Liden and Mrs T.P. Forbes as witnesses to her marriage, so I wonder if they were residents of Walthill or close by. Any information appreciated.
Rose

I need help. The 1930 census lists an Absolem Ames, 64, living with the Alfred Reil family in Anderson, Thurston Co. This wouldn't be a problem except that he is listed as being a widower. According to the obituary of my Absolem Ames (died in 1932 in Washington Co, NE), he died a batchelor. So, either there was another man by the same name and age in Nebraska, or my Absolem married but never told anyone? He was single in 1920. If he married, it may not have been in Thurston Co, but if anyone has run across or knows anything of this person, please respond.
Thanks,
Jill

I am researching my GG Grandmother Maranda Bowen Grove Clark Fiedler Fritz. She was married 4 times. Nick Fritz who was born in Europe and migrated to the United States in about 1860 was her 4th husband. Maranda died in Pender Nebraska in 1919. Nick died in Oregon near his step children but death certificate said he was buried in Pender Nebraska where they had lived for many years. I have not been able to find them. Other people listed on the Census with them are Marvin Clark (Maranda's son with Aaron Clark) Julia M. Cluff ?and an adopted daughter Bertha. I have searched several of the Pender cemeteries but have not been able to find them.
Any help would be very appreciated. I also have distant interest in the Morlan family who lived in the area too. I have visited the Jones Cemetery where many Morlan's are buried.

Fuller Family

I am looking for any info on Clyde Fuller. He was born in New York in 1894 and passed away in Walthill NE in 1977. I heard that he was adopted by an Indian family in Iowa or Nebraska. Does this sound familar to anyone? He married Sophia "Marie" Molgaard(1899-1991) and had 3 children. Two girls(one named Eva) and a son, Leonard Koch Fuller 1920-1986 who is my grandfather. Marie Molgaard's parents were Christian Anderson Molgaard and Christiana Koch. Marie's sister Christine, married Hans Peterson on April 12, 1916 at the Presbyterian parsonage in Tebamah, Nebraska. Christine was born Dec 1, 1895 and was the oldest of 7 children which included my great-grandmother Marie Molgaard Fuller . The family at that time farmed in the Bertha Community. Hans Petersen was born in Schleswig Holstein Germany on Sept. 23, 1887 to Thomas and Bertha Marie Petersen. He came to America in 1906 and attended Dana College at Blair. Later Hans and Christine retired to Lyons and Hans passed away in 1968 and Christine in 1981. I have this info directly from a family cookbook given to me by my Grandmother Jeanne Ajamy Fuller who lives a few miles north of me. So if anyone knows about any of these families I would love to hear from you. I want to know about my Moms family, and she passed away in 1990 so I am limited on resources. Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Margaret Paquette

I am looking for any reference, via the newspaper, or other local records to an Angeline SOUTHWELL who apparently lived for a short time in Rosalie, about 1930 or so. She periodically left her husband William SOUTHWELL of Lyons to "go up the river to Rosalie with some Swede." I have no idea who this Swede might be but small newspapers often print little articles of assorted interest so I was hoping there might be some mention of her. Perhaps there is a local historical society that could help me, or someone who has lived in town since the 30s and might recognize her name. I will gladly pay for research costs and can be contacted directly at DonnaSF47@home.com

Thank you so much

Donna Madrid

If anyone can help me with any information (no matter how small) I would really appreciate it! My Grandfather died last year but he desperateley wanted to know his geneology! Adoption took place in Pender, Ne.
I am posting this message to the Scotts Bluff board because this was also a town my Grandmother and Grandfather were to have lived in in Nebraska: Please read below

I have been trying to locate my family and they seem to be invisible. I have the 1910 and 1920 U.S. Census for Custer Nebraska (Berwyn Township) and (Broken Bow Township) which
shows my Grandmother and Grandfather living there dring those years. My mother, Luretta Grace Harbert, graduated from Broken Bow High School. Other children of my Grandmother and Grandfather were Lelia Harbert, Elvia Harbert, Chuck (Charles/Leland) Harbert, and Els (Eldred) Harbert. My grandmother is Emma Grace Leland (married name Harbert, she was shown to be born in Rhode Island in 1879) and my grandfather's name is Lewis or Louis W. Harbert (shown to be born in Illinois in 1870 and his parents were from Germany). My mother, Luretta Grace Harbert was born in 1917 and shows up as 3 and 1/2 years old in the Custer, Nabraska 1920 Census - Broken Bow Township. Anyone with any information or hints that might help me find them, please let me know. There was also another daughter born to Emma and Lewis Harbert in 1917? and died during the same time period (1918), her name was Iris M. Harbert and her tombstone has the dates 1917-1918 and her name on it, I cannot find her death recorded anywhere or find out where she is burried, I have tried all the things I know of to locate her grave and come up empty handed.
Thank you for any information you can provide or tips that may help me search.
Darlene

My mother's sister Elvia, married a man named Lloyd Seeley and them lived in Omaha, Nebraska for many years until his death, they had two children, Ron Seeley and Dolores Seeley. I Believe Lloyd Seeley worked for the Railroad for some years.

BALL, EVANS

I am looking for information on my great grandfather Arthur Ellsworth Ball, he was married to Nancy May Peterson. They are on the Thurston Co. census 1920 and list their children. Perhaps they were married in Thurston County. Have no information on Arthur's parents. His father could have been Dan Ball; we thinks this is strong possiblity. Nancy's father was Henry Peterson from Sweden. Arthur had brothers Oscar, Lester, Ervin and Elmer. Nancy had sisters Mary and Anna. My grandmother Ethel May Ball married an Evans and they may also be in Thurston Co.
Rasmus and John Jepsen were two of Anton Jepson's (yes, ON)sons. Rasmus had 13 children, I know their names thanks to Leon Jepsen of Emerson, NE. No one on my side of the family knows anything about John, except that he is buried in Seargeant Bluffs, Iowa near Anton. I believe Rasmus moved to Thurston county in the late 1800's and may have lived east of Thurston. Any information would be appreciated. I will share the data I have collected.

JOHNSON and LASS surnames...
I am researching my husband's side of our family tree. His mother, Margaret Ann JOHNSON, was adopted in 1947 at the age of 10 years old to the KLINTWORTH's. She had 2 twin sisters, Jean and Jane, and a brother, Tom who were all adopted to different families. Their birth father was Andrew (Andy) JOHNSON and their birth mother was Dorothy LASS. They lived near Crowell, NE (between West Point and Fremont, NE). I would guess that Andy and Dorothy were born between the years of 1910 and 1920. Anyone have any information on Andy JOHNSON or Dorothy LASS? I found an Ernest Heinrich LASS b. Scribner, NE 11-17-1882 and d. Emerson, NE 5-28-1962. He m. Dorothy DOHRMAN who was b. Germany 8-1-1883 and d. Emerson, NE 9-11-1984. They were married 2-25-1908. I'm wondering if these are the parents of Dorothy LASS, mother of Margaret Ann JOHNSON?

Lisa

In approximately 1898 Emily Anderson and her husband William travelled from Kentucky by wagon train to the West. Family lore says to Omaha, NE. By 1900 Emily was back in Kentucky and a widow. Emily says on the census that she had seven children, five of whom were living in 1900. We have the names of only five: Joseph, Julius, Josephine, Robert and Tanny.

Can anyone support that these folks were in Nebraska at that time? This Anderson line is strongly connected to the White, Taylor and Barnes families in Kentucky. William Anderson may be buried in NE. Would like to find out.
