Elko,NV, Jan 20 - J.F. Short, a resident of Ruby Valley for fifty-three years died Saturday afternoon, and the body was brought to Elko yesterday after a difficult trip through heavy snow. Mr. Short was born at Percy Ill, on October 30, 1854. He is survived by four sons, E.R. Short of Fallon, and Hardin, Jesse, and A.
G. Short of Ruby Valley; and two daughters, Mrs Phil Short of Wells and Mrs Ethel Forceline of San Mateo CA. Funeral Services will be held tomorrow under the auspices of the Knights of Pythias, and interment will be in Elko.==========
From my cemetery book the following:
J.F. Short is buried in the Knights of Pythias section of the Elko Cemetery. In the same K of P plot are his wife Laura [1861-1917], Andrew B. Short (son, 1883-1893], Arthur M. Short [1882-1918], Freddie [son died 1 Oct 1883], Tracy Short [died 9 July 1898, child of J.F.].
