STOCKTONIANS in WASHOE --
-A letter received yesterday by a gentleman of this city, dated Gold Hill, 9th instant, informs us that a difficulty occurred on Friday, 5th instant, in which Judge McCAUSLAND, formerly of this city, was a party. A dispute arose concerning a lot of land, followed by hard words, when the Judge drew a knife and stabbed his antagonist, wounding him so seriously that it is feared he will not survive. Whether any arrest was made or any further particulars of the case are not stated.

-Among the new-comers at Gold Hill are mentioned Messrs. Samuel BROWN, William CONFER, Seth PEYTON and Mr. LEFFLER. The country is spoken of as a fit place only for men of capital -- poor men and men with comparatively small means being compelled to ‘live like dogs’ if dependant upon their profits from mining labor.
