Elisha S Smith was born in either Maine or Massachusetts, and if the calculations between his death date and age at death are correct, he was born on May 14, 1776. By 1840 he was living in Tuftonboro NH with his wife Sarah, where both are buried. It was listed on his stone that he was a Captain, and supposedly served in the War of 1812. I am trying to learn who were his parents, as well as Sarah's maiden name and parentage. They had a son in about 1821 named Isaac D. Smith, who married Mary E Chamberlin, if that helps!
