Peter Evans and Mercy Allen had a son named John in 1711 (who married Lydia Doolittle) and then a son named Peter in 1713/14 (who married Ruth Petty).

Depending on the history you believe, either John or Peter was the father of Asher. I believe it was Peter, primarily because all of Peter's children lived in Vermont. Also, I have a copy of John's will, and he does not name Asher in his will.

It appears Asher had a son, Asher Jr.
