Am trying to determine the connection (if any) of my ancestor, Columbus Evans, b. c. 1796 in NH, to the large Evans family of Hinsdale, Cheshire Co. NH.
John Evans and Lydia Doolittle's 16 children included Asher, Ore, Jeri, Asa, Henry, Eldad, Windwell, Medad, Urial, John, Lydia, Elzi, John, Phila, Silvanus and Ethni. Both Eldad and Urial removed to Jefferson County NY, also the eventual home of Columbus.
