Would love to hear from anyone researching this family and share what I have. Albert Downing is a Civil War Veteran buried at our local cemetery in Everett, WA.
1840 Holderness Grafton Co. NH George W. Downing family. He has two adults over 60 living with him then also.
1850 Holderness Grafton NH George W. 1804/NH, Sarah 1810/NH, George L. 1836/NH, Mary B. 1839/NH, Albert T. 1841/NH, John C. 1845/NH, Sarah E. 1846/NH also living there is a John & Abigail age 78/NH but not sure of their surname they are listed as Downing yet they both have a name of True at the end and wonder if not Sarah parents?
Family posting to the Ancestry. Com confirms my thoughts on John & Abigail being Martha H. Downing parents they give Sarah maiden name as True which matches John & Abigail living with them in 1850 census.

Albert T. Downing had removed to WA by 1906 as he passed away at his home on Rucker in Everett, Snohomish Co. WA His son George W. was living in Everett at that time.

Albert T. Downing, of 2727 Rucker Avenue, died this morning at the Everett hospital of cancer of the stomach. The funeral will be held Saturday at 1 o’clock. Mr. Downing leaves a widow and two children. He was a member of the G.A.R.
Martha Downing died 10/27/1919 in Seattle, King Co. WA her son George W. Downing was living on Colby in Everett, Snohomish Co. WA and buried her beside her husband at Evergreen Cemetery
