Mrs. Jacquelyn Moser, 61, of Elkin, NC died June 5, 2009 after a long and very courageous battle with breast cancer.
Jackie will be remembered for her positive outlook, sense of humor, and being a true inspiration for so many cancer victims and their families.
Jackie was born in Alexandria, N.H. on April 23, 1948 to Elsie Loughlin Tivey and the late Francis Loughlin.
She graduated from Newfound Memorial High School and Pierce College for Women in New Hampshire.
Besides New Hampshire, Jackie lived in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Colorado, and Texas, but her home was in Elkin with her husband, Hugh Moser.
Jackie and Hugh spent 15 years together as cross-country truck drivers. Until recently, she worked for Crossroads Behavioral Healthcare in Elkin.
Jackie is predeceased by her loving husband, Hugh Moser; her grandparents, Elmer and Avis Sharp Braley; and several aunts; uncles; and cousins.
She is survived by her mother, Elsie Tivey, of Elkin; her daughter, Dauphne Trenholm (fiance’ Jason Hale) of Little Rock, Ark.; her son, Scott Trenholm (Rita) of Everett, Mass. he is also survived by her sister, Joyce Reynolds (Ray) of Waynesville; her brother, James Loughlin (Carrie) of Herndon, Va.; her sister, Jeri Ballou (Ross Morris) of State Road; and her grandchildren, Claudia, Jessie, and Abraham Cordova of Massachusetts. She is also survived by her aunt, Elvis Belser of Franklin, N.H.; her uncle, The Rev. Elmer Braley (Pamela) of Hillsville, Va.; a niece, Cheryl Reynolds of Warwick, R.I.; nephews, Stacy and Jamin Levasseur of Thornton, N.H.; and several cousins; many friends; and her special cat, Baby, who was her constant companion.
The family received friends Sunday, June 7, at Gentry Family Funeral Service on Little Mountain Road in Jonesville.
Her funeral service will be held a 2 p.m. today, June 8, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church on Ebenezer Church Road in State Road.
