Mooar Family of Hollis, c. 1840
I am interested in the Mooar family who may have lived in Hollis, NH before 1850. By the 1850 census, Charles Humphrey Mooar (b 17 Jun 1822, Hollis) is living in Covington, Kenton County KY in the household of Daniel Mooar (age 32, also born NH). Both are lawyers. I surmise Daniel is an older brother. Thee is a possible additional member of the famioy, Luke (or Lake) Moore (or possibly Mooar) in Clermont Cty OH, just across the Ohio River. I don't know how to research this speculation from a distance, so any help would be appreciated. I notice that someone had a family history of early Hollis, and wonder if the Mooar family appears in it.
I notice that Charles married someone from Vermont who appears in the 1850 census for Hanover. Her ma ran a boarding house. Did Charles go to Dartmouth?
Thanks for any help.
