NOTE THIS IS SHORTENED VERSION TRANSCRIBED BY ME.
Death of Dea. Enoch Holt
Deacon Henry Holt of Nashua, who has been in delicate health for the past few years, died at his residence on Park Street. He was about 53 years old.
He was a native of Hillsborough. He came to Nashua when he was 14 years of age.
His business for years was the manufacturing of bedding.
He was a prominant citizen; has held various offices of honor in the city government and represented his ward in
the legislature.
He was the deacon of the Olive Street Church.
Mr. Holt was twice married and his children are dead.
His second wife survives. ----- Telegraph
On Saturday, widow of the deceased, Mrs. Sarah F. Holt,
who had not seen the remains, approached the casket,
and after gazing at the remains, exclaimed, "Can this be true?".. then placed her hands on her forehead, she said
"How my head pains!"
Seeing she was falling, those by caught her, but on laying her down discovered she was dead from apoplexy.
The funeral of Deacon Holt was postponed until Monday,
when both will be buried together.
My Note:
Apoplexy = Paralysis due to stroke
