BOWEN of Salisbury 1700s

Classification: Query
Surnames: BOWEN, CROSS
Lizzie/Peggy BOWEN b. 19 Aug 1771 at Salisbury, Merrimack Co., New Hampshire married Stephen CROSS (of Haverhill, Essex, MA) abt 1770 (possibly in Salisbury). Family notes indicate confusion about Lizzie/Peggy, suggesting they might have been sisters - Margaret and Elizabeth? - born abt 1755 in Ipswich, MA. The notes also say Lizzie/Peggy's father was "Henry BOWEN, not proven". Thirteen children (I have names and dates) were born to the BOWEN-CROSS parents, all in Salisbury, NH. I descend through the firstborn, Judith CROSS, b. 19 Aug 1771. I'd be grateful if someone could help me in sorting out the confusion and learning more about this BOWEN line. Thanks for reading!
