Hi Kathy,

Thank you for telling us about these KIDDER tin-types for sale. I just looked on-line and see the family is mentioned in the "KIDDER book." Thomas was the son of Jacob KIDDER. I'll see if I can find the "line" for them.

I looked on-line again, and Thomas, b1808, is descended from a family mentioned in the "history of Goffstown." And the family is descended from a Worcester County, MA, Joseph KIDDER family. And then from John, son of patriarch, James.

Elijah Kidder, 1st child of Job Kidder and Molly ---, was b. about 1762 in Goffstown; m. Nov. 27,1783, Mary Sargent, dau. of Trueworthy Sargent and Hopestill Weed; she. d. Mar. 30,1849, at Grantham. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War in Col. Moses Kelley's Regiment in 1778, volunteering from Goffstown. He d. 1810 in Goffstown. Children all b. in Goffstown: John (1784), Jacob (c.1788), Betsey (1790), Edward (1792), Polly (1799) Jesse (1808) and Lucy (c.1810).

FYI:

I am descended from the line: James, John, Thomas, Joseph, Calvin - who went to Canada, but not a Loyalist or Sympathizer - but traveled with them.
