My maiden name is Whittum and I am trying to find information on my great grand father, Moses Whittum, b. abt.1797.d 1830 I have no record of his birth. He married Lydia Marble, but I cannot find a record of the marriage. I do have a Rhode Island census of 1880 that lists my grand father James B.Whittum, and my father Joseph F. Whittum. This shows that James B. was the son of Moses, born in Maine, but no other details.
There is a record of his death in Providence and of the probate. He is not buried with Lydia in North Cemetery.
