I just want to clarify the reqesut I have laid out.
This tombstone was found buried in our crawlspace. My husband found it while digging out space for our new duct work. We feel that Fannie deserves to have her tombstone put back if it is indeed missing and/or the family needs to have it. It belongs to their relative and it's the right thing to do.
Also I would like to thank everyone for thier help.
Update:
We have been in contact with the executive of the DeBois estate and he has been entrusted with little Fannie's headstone. If he can find the parents graves he instends to place it next to theirs. It has come to light that it is a very real possibility that Fannie was buried what is now our crawlspace and they built our home in 1890 atop of her grave. This is being looked into further. Back then, in the late 1800's they didn't always place deceased in a cemetary and they can find no record in our local cemetaries of this young lady buried in either.
