New Jersey Military Service Records

As you may know, many US Army records were lost in a 1973 fire at the Archives Center in St Louis MO. I have several friends who have never been able to obtain the records of their ancestors.

A nice alternative for those of us with NJ roots - the "unofficial" military records for NJ veterans.

I've just received the record for my grandfather, who served only 6 months at the end off WWI.

At $5 for the search, copy and mailing, it's a deal. The service was extremely quick. I mailed off my request and check on June 19. The check posted to my account on July 3, and I received the photocopy, from a microfilm card file, yesterday.

Copy attached to give you an idea of what information is available.

Details of what is available, cost and where to mail, along with links to request forms:

Price varies by War/era.
