Dear Victoria

Please forgive my (belated)intrusion but I, too, am tracing the descendants of one James O'Brien (bn~1816) and his wife Anne (nee Dunne, bn 1820). Originally from Cty Wicklow, Ireland, they escaped the famine to England, to be found in the 1851 census; James copper-mining in Coniston, Lake District. They emigrated to USA 1870, found in that year's census in Rockaway Township, Morris Cty, NJ, with 8/11 children, including: Henry bn 1851 who married Anne, producing 9 kids of their own between 1878 & 94; and their daughter Catherine (already married to Michael Kelly). If there's anything at all thast you might be ablle to add from previous look-ups, I would be most grateful.

Yours sincerely

Stephen O'Brien

Rob,

Thank you so much for getting back with me and helping.

I am not sure of the names yet, the name Miller in Hudson County is so common that I have been looking thru so many of them. If you don't mind emailing me with any more information on them so I can look further into the Miller family history.

Thank you again
Ron

I am the grandchild of Louis L. Loelius, thru his daughter Eva Augusta Loelius - Dowd. I still reside in the greater Wilkes-Barre area. My Mother passed away in April of 06 at the age of 72. Miraculous considering she was born with Muscular Dystrophy (SMA).She was the keeper of Family History. I have not had much family contact over the years since my family left NJ. I came across your posting in a Google search while seeking the historical geneology of the Loelius surname.

I was looking for my great grandparents in 1870 & did a first name search & found them. His name was Owen MORAN, but they had him down as MORREN. They came to US in May 1870, according to his naturalization papers, & luckily he was enumerated shortly after that, so he made the census.
So you are lucky you have odd names, try that when stumped, also. Now if I could just find him after 1911...
Jeanine

Hello,

I am trying to find any info, especially death documents, regarding Julia Pazik. She resided in Bayonne, Ward 2, Hudson, New Jersey from family records and the 1920 and 1930 census.

I am completely stalled in my research and really need to find any information about the names of her parents or at least her immigration info.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you. That Julia is her daughter-in-law. I have been in contact w/ Mr. Miller and her is wonderful. I think maybe this Julia perhaps did not have a obituary. I am unsure, but no one seems able to find anything. They were members of Our Lacy of Mt. Carmel. I tried writing there, but no one answered.

I am looking for info/connections to the Pazik Family living in Bayonne, NJ from the late 1800's onward. The most recent obit I found was for Rose (Drivesky) Pazik who died in 2004 at the age of 102 in the Bayonne area.

Names include Stanley and Julia Pazik and their children - William, Felix (Phil), Blanche (married name Gustavson) and John. There may have also been a Jennie.

My great-grandmother (Anna Pazik-Jaksina) and her children and grandchildren used to visit Bayonne from Clinton, MA in the 1940's as these folks were close cousins.

I believe that there may still be Paziks descending from perhaps William Pazik. I believe Blanche's family may be in the Rochester, NY area with the last name Lee

I have a copy of a document printed in 1938 with the Polish language title PAMIETNIK, which is subtitled "Parafji Matki Boskiej Szkaplerznej w Bayonne NJ". This commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Mt. Carmel Parish of Bayonne, NJ, and the silver jubilee (25th anniversary) of ordination of Reverend Anthony Tralka of that parish.

This contains a mixture of Polish and English, has many photos and lists of names, and has many advertizements.

Are there any marriage records for the name Puchinsky?

My uncle Nicholas Puchinsky married Stephanie Czarnecki who also was known as Eleanor Czarnecki. The time period would I believe be the mid to late 1930's. I have a photo of them at their wedding in front of this church. Thanks.

Richard
