There are several with the Cubberly/Cubberley surname on this obituary listing, including Albert, and a child, Emma, but no Laura. See:

"Cubbarley", d. 21 Aug 1889, age 39, but none for Laura under either surname in Trenton papers, through a subscription site. I then searched just for the first name of Laura, and year of 1887. Got 6 hits, none with the info you provided. This was also for Trenton.
