Sounds like my family sell a horse for a bottle of whiskey.
I grew up in Hawthorne. My father was born and raised in
Freehold. His father(my name sake) Alamanza was the assisant postmaster of Freehold for many years. And a founding member of the Freehold YMCA in 1902. I now live in Florida and have not been back to NJ in 30 years. Somehow I don't think that is my side of the family buried in Holmdel. I tend to think my ancesters just latched on to the more affluent branch and came here. I am trying to find out the name of Gilbert(b.1776) Crawford's father.
