I am researching James Holman (Holeman, Holdman), born about 1814 in Madison Co., Ky, married Martha Ramsey on Jun 04, 1835 in Garrard Co., Ky, and died around 1886 in Crab Orchard, Lincoln Co., Ky.
He is the earliest documented Holman in my family tree.
My cousin is a direct male descendant of this James Holman (great, great grandson). He recently was tested by Family Tree DNA. His results are 37 of 37 markers match with the results for a direct male descendant of Kenneth Holman (b: 1787 d: 31 Mar 1871 in Upperfreehold, Monmouth Co., New Jersey).
I am trying to find the common ancestor for these two Holmans.
Any suggestions for possible links between Holmans in New Jersey and Kentucky?
