Perhaps the will of Alfred would tell you if his children were living at that time. The 1900 census shows him owning the home, so maybe he left or sold the property to his children. Also the date of the sale of real estate would tell you when the family moved.

Marriage records are hard to find if you dont know the date and the spouse.
