Hi. Can you tell me what your source information is for the father of James King? I have found multiple trees on line showing James had a brother, OUR William (G) King b. 1810 NJ, but good source information for that fact did not exist in the trees. William married Mary Bird/Burd which we have proven but we hit a wall at William other than the suggested parents of Adam King and Margaret Grant. We have William's DC but no parents' names given. We understand this family has been recognized by the DAR but according to the SAR, that was an application and the siblings were loosely accepted. That application also shows George b. Ireland while your data shows b. NJ. We also have the Will of George King who died in 1799 in NJ in which he mentions all of his children but there is no son "Adam" listed. A son "Absolam" is mentioned but we have tracked him and he is not the Adam referred to in so many trees as the son of George. It is starting to appear that Adam as son of George is faulty without reliable sources.
We are only hoping to find good source information for Adam being the son of George b. 1744, d. 1799. None of the trees we have found cite any reliable source info.
Your input would be appreciated. Feel free to contact me via email if you like. Linda
