Hi, found my elusive CLEMOW people in Pompton township in 1860. In the 1870 or 1880 census it was noted to have a Newfoundland post office. 1860 has Mead's Basin- and also stretched to Wayne township. The one boy was a miner, the other a blacksmith apprentice, and wife was a widow. My question is- does mead's basin further define an area? I would like to "place" my kinfolk less broadly than Pompton township. street address or something might assist me with a church record or burial place. Maria died Dec 28 or 29 1886-in Ringwood.I no notation on her death certificate where she was to be buried. Also looking for the burial place of her 2 young sons. Might Ringwood have an additional death record in addition with more info than the state?
Joseph and Shadrach CLEMOW. Thanks so much
