Newton - Mrs. Frances M. Lanterman, wife of Ernest Lanterman, of 15 Lawnwood Ave, died at her home Tuesday following a short illness. She was 71
Born in Callicoon, NY, Mrs. Lanterman had resided in Newton for the past 50 years.
Besides her husband, she leaves five sons, Lewis Snyder, of Columbia; Fred Snyder, of Albany, NY, Ernest lanterman, of Allamuchy; George Lanterman, of Middletown, NY, and William Lanterman, of Newton; three daughters, Mrs. Frances Rome, of Branchville; Mrs. Beulah Barabas, of Allamuchy, and Mrs. Lela DeGroat, of Newton; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She is also survived by a brother, J. Snover, of Schuylersville, NY, and two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Crawn, of Branchville, and Mrs. Pearl Specht, of Warwick, NY.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow (Friday) at 2 pm at the Smith funeral Home 63 High St., by the Rev. E. James Roberts, pastor of the Branchville Methodist Church. Burial will be in Baleville Cemetery.
