Ive started getting copies of death and birth records of some of my family members. I have 2 questions.....
1. In the state of New Jersey you have to prove that relationship for certified copies, not really that important but I would like to know for example the cause of death, this is only available on certified copies, in the case of my grandfather he was long deceased by the time I was born and I am not even sure how I can show relationship to get a certified copy of the death certificate, any ideas?
2. Also, while research family history, has anyone came along certain way to in some cases obtain photos? For example my great grandfather was enlisted during both world wars, would the government have taken photos of the enlistees?
Another example is my grandmother who I believe was possibly born on a boat from Poland, would immigrants arriving by boat have been photographed?
Any other tips??
Thanks in advance!
