I am looking for records for the old mining town of Mogollon which is currently in Catron County. My great grandfather, EDWARD M. COLVIN, was a miner there from about 1903 to 1913. My grandfather and three of his siblings were born in Mogollon. I realize that Mogollon used to belong to Socorro County but I am wondering if all the records of the town were really kept so far away in Socorro. I have found church records for residents of Mogollon during this era in both Socorro and Sierra County churches. Someone told me that Mogollon's records are in Silver City, Grant County, New Mexico. Is anyone else out there researching Mogollon? Can anyone tell me where the old records are kept? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!
Pam--from California
