Juanita Sanchez...
looking for any records for Juanita Sanchez, probably born around 1885, lived in Mora County and had a child named Tomas in Cleveland in 1898. She was in Colfax county in 1917/18 when her son Tomas filed his WW1 draft registration, and Tomas and family was living in Dawson in 1920, so I'm wondering if it isn't that area. I can't find her as Sanchez in 1920 so I'm thinking she either died or married. Tomas could have been adopted but was probably 'illegitimate', and raised by Juanita OR was her very much younger brother and was raised by her. Another interesting 'factoid' is that Tomas' grandson's DNA is American Indian - the rumor in the family is that Tomas' father was an Indian child that was adopted by a Spanish family.
I have looked at several census and about all I know for sure is that she was not the Juanita married to Manuel in Colfax county.
so you see, any information would be very helpful.
thanks
Juanita
