V.J. SANCHEZ Taken by Death —
Vincent Joseph SANCHEZ, 59, of 237 East Market St., passed away this morning in a local hospital following a short illness. A native of Anton Chico, N.M., he had been a Salinas resident for 14 years. He is survived by his wife, Adelina S.; 2 sons, Vincent, Jr., of Salinas, and Patrick of San Jose; a daughter, Mrs. Rose Fernandez of San Francisco; 2 sisters, Mrs. Cecilia F. Aragon and Mrs. Lucy Jimenez, both of Gilroy; and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Muller mortuary Friday at 9am, thence to Sacred Heart church for requiem mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment at Garden of Memories. Rosary will be recited at the mortuary chapel Thursday night at 8 o’clock.
