My great auntie just finished a book called "Audrey of the Mountains; the story of a twentieth century pioneer" by Dorothy Audrey Simpson, published by Stone Press. It has pictures from the Simpson archives and as the family lived in and around Avis, it has some facts about the area. Just thought I would put the info out there!
