My grandfather, Malcolm CAMERON, was a "small town" newspaper editor prior to 1915. I am quite certain he was employed by or more likely editor of the San Marcial newspaper (or some paper nearby) in 1915. From searching Postmaster Appointments records, I know that he was the San Marcial postmaster at that time. Unfortunately the Census years do not coincide with his residence in San Marcial.
Does anyone know if there was a newspaper in San Marcial in 1915? And if there was, does any library have an archival collection of local newspapers? Is there any sort of local record of residents that dates back to 1915? Or could anyone suggest some other way to research this? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Nancy CAMERON Armstrong
