In the course of researching my family name which originated with the spelling of Cedillo. I traced my origins in this country to a Pedro Cedillo Rico de Rojas who was an officer with the Juan de Onate expedition of 1598. You may find that your lineage in this country originated with this family. The expedition established present day Albuquerque and as far north as Sante Fe.
