I hate jumping into other peoples posts but just wanted to throw something out there. My fifth great grandfather was William Bennett from Argyle, NY, originally from RI. He had a sister Freelove Bennett who married an Edward Wright from the Argyle, Greenwich, Saratoga area and I believe originally from New England. William Bennett, his brothers Charles and Henry along with brother inlaws Joseph Havens and Edward Wright all fought in the New York Continental line during the Revolutionary war. They all lived in the Argyle area during the late 1780's and 90's. Edward Wright moved to Sodus, NY and died there in 1811 during what I believe was a tree felling accident. His wife Freelove moved back with one of her sons near Bemis Point then back to Fort Edward/Argyle.
