William H. Bliss, Barber at Belmont for 52 Years, Dies.
Belmont - WILLIAM H. BLISS, 85, who was a barber there for 52 years, died late yesterday after a lengthy illness.
Born July 3, 1873, in Wheeler, N.Y., he was the son of George BLISS and Eliza JOHNSON BLISS. He was married in 1898 to Bertha Peterson, who died in 1945.
Mr. Bliss was a member of the Belmont Conservation Club, an honorary member of the Belmont Fire Department, and a former member of the Light of the West Lodge, F.&A.M., at Olean.
Surviving are one son, Kenneth BLISS of Belmont; two sisters, Mrs. Ella O'BRIEN of Randolph, Mass., and Mrs. Clara PHILLIPS, Boston, Mass., and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Olmstead Funeral Chapel here, where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Luther Pennington of the Belmont Methodist Church. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery, Belmont.
