Our ggrandfather was Abel T Reynolds, b. 1820, married Fanny Gorton b. 12 Jan 1824. They lived in Friendship, N. Y. but we think Abel might have been born in R. I. They had 6 children Orpha b. abt 1847, Adalina b. abt 1850, Alice b. abt 1852, Thaddeus b. abt 1854, Ellis E. b. 1 Jan. 1848 (could have been Elise), and our grandfather John C. Reynolds b. 3 Aug. 1861. John married Maude Wixson b. 1874 who died in childbirth in 1897 when our Father, Jerome Clark Reynolds was born. Jerome had a sister Fern and we were told they lived in an orphanage until two aunts, Daisy Smith and Blanche Brown took them to live with them in a hotel in Friendship,. This was all in Friendship, Allegany Cty, NY area. He either married or lived with Minnie Johnson in Perry, NY. We are seeking any information.
