Mark J Spicer Buried at Westfield Today
Westfield, Sept 19 - Mark J Spicer, 64 years of age, died at his home on the East Lake Road <...> Westfield Sunday(?) evening. Mr Spicer had lived on his farm for 47 years. He is survived by his wife Eva M Spicer, two sons Richard and Ralph Spicer of Westfield, six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3:30 pm at West Portland church with Rev Dennison officiating. Burial will be in Farrington cemetery.

Miss Helen Spicer, daughter of Mr and Mrs Richard Spicer, was operated upon Wednesday, Aug 19, in the General hospital for an infected foot, and will be obligated to wear a cast for about 6 weeks. Two years ago Miss Spicer broke a small bone in the foot and later that same foot was injured by an automobile.. Since then she has been lame, and the bones became infected. Two small bones were removed in the operation Wednesday.'

Mr and Mrs Richard Spicer and their two daughters Helen and Elsie left for Sarasota, Florida December 26. THey will spend the winter there and will probably stop in Ohio on their return trip.

Frank Spicer Dies at Home in Brocton
Brocton, Aug 14 - Frank Spicer of Webster road, who had been seriously ill for the past few days, died at 11 Sunday morning at the family home. He leaves his wife, Cora, and one daughter, Mrs Della Farrell of Jamestown.
Funeral services will be held at 2 Tuesday afternoon at the home.

Westfield Woman Offers Eye to Finance Husband's Operation
Westfield - Mrs Richard Spicer, 50, of 22 Chestnut street, this village would be willing to sell one of her eyes for enought to finance an operation for her husband who has been unable to work since last summer. His right lung, his left ear, and his throat are affected.
A local physcian, Dr Carleton Heist, has indicated that an absess may be at the bottom of the trouble. While a patient recently at the Newton Memorial hospital he was given a clean bill of health in so far as tuberculosis is concerned, the wife stated.
Mr Spicer has been examined at a cancer clinic in Buffalo but no report has been received as yet. He is a fisherman and until last summer worked out of Erie, PA for the Circle fisheries. He is 48 years of age. Most of the time he is confined to bed at home. The Spicers have two grown daughters.
Mrs Spicer made the offere of an eye to help finance an operation, in a letter to a New York newspaper last week. Thus far she has received no replies. She is employed in the kitchen at the Westfield Memorial Hospital.
