I think they are in the 1900 census but it is very difficult to read, sort of blackened:
1900 Michigan MACOMB RAY TWP Series: T623 Roll: 727 Page: 227
VOVILLIA, JOHN 82 M W FRAN MI MACOMB CO. RAY TWP
I think it says he was a farmer, b Aug 181_? (1817 or 1818?), in France, parents b France, md 54? yrs, immig. in 183_? (1832?)and had been here 5_? (57?) yrs. Can't read next person's name, a woman, but also looks like md. 54? yrs, b NY, parents b NY, had 5 children, 2 (or 3?) living. She was 7_? yrs old, possibly 74? or 78?
With them were Vovillia, Edward 41, a farmer, md 8 yrs, b OH, fa b France, mo b NY; his wife Mattie 26, b MI. md 8 yrs, had 3 children - Harold 5, Sura? (or Anna?) 3 and Mildred 1, all b MI. There was alsoa 16 yr old laborer whose first name was Fred, last name might be Lear? or Star? or ??
I couldn't find John in any other census but I don't have Soundex. There must be some spelling variations of the surname out there somewhere.
Delzene and Mary are 6 pages before John:
1900, Michigan MACOMB 3-WD MOUNT CLEMENS Series: T623 Roll: 727 Page: 221
NUTTING DELZENE 41 M W MI MACOMB 3-WD MOUNT CLEMENS
Looks like Mary was b May 1859, age 41, had been md 23 yrs, had _ ? children, 3 living: dau Josephine 20, son Paine? 19 and son Eddie 17, all b MI.
