It appears that there are two Jeremiah Landts in the same area of New York.
The family that I am looking for startes with Jeremiah F. Landt born 1755 in the Netherlands and immigrated with his parents in 1760. Have been unable to identify who his parents were.
Jeremiah is first found in Columbia Co., NY in 1760.
He married Elizabeth Diederick/Dederick (and other spellings) Jan 1784 Kinderhook RDC, Kinderhook, Columbia Co., NY. Daughter Chrytynte was born 1785 in Claverack Twp., Columbia Co., NY, son John born 1787, daughter Elizabeth born 1789 and son Jeremiah J. born 1792. There are additional children who have not been identified.
In 1793, the family settled on a farm in Danube, Herkimer Co., NY . 1800 finds them back in Kinderhook Twp, Columbia Co., NY. (Could this be the other Jeremiah Landt??) 1820 they are back in Danube, Herkimer Co., NY, where he has a Mercantile Business. Jerehiam F Landt dies in 1823 in Newville, Herkimer Co., NY.
