I am also tracing distant Wood family who came from Ulster County to Delaware County. I have John Wood, born about 1813 and married to Catherine (last name unknown) born abt 1814 in Sullivan County. The family appears in the 1850 NY Census for Andes, Delaware County, NY. John owned a Hotel and Tavern in Andes, NY (The Andes Hotel that still operates today?) and had the children: Anne, Betsy, Frances, George, John, Lorenzo, Richard, and Selina (also spelled Celina). John is missing from the 1875 census and Catherine is living with her son, Richard's family, so she is likely widowed.
