Classification: Query
Surnames: Neary, Callahan
I am looking primarily for direct descendants of Sarah Neary who married James Callahan around 1870,they lived in Newburgh. Sarahs's Parents are listed as James Neary and Bridget O'Brien. Sarah's Approx DOB 1849-1853 in Ireland. The 1900 and 1910 US census shows a Cecelia Neary living with the Callahan's as a granddaughter in 1900 and a lodger in 1910. Cecelia's death and marriage certs state her parents were Martin and Catherine Neary. It appears Catherine died during Cecilia's childbirth in 1891 and Cecilia was given to the Callahan's. The 1892 census shows Martin as father and two sons, Martin Jr and Thomas Neary, Martin Sr as a widower. Can't find Martin or family in 1900 census, but 1910 shows Martin and Martin Jr living together all in Fishkill/Beacon. I believe Martin Sr is somehow connected to my Sarah Neary Callahan. Martin Sr died in 1913 in Wicopee. I believe Martin's mother was Catherine Neary and his brother's were Michael, John, and maybe Patrick Neary, all living in Fishkill/Beacon area between 1860-1930. I did visit the Beacon and Fishkill library's, but was there on a Saturday, so my access was limited. Hope to make the trip again soon. Anyone with any info on any of these Neary's or anyone who could direct me to the proper place to research the area would be greatly appreciated!!

Thx
Mark
