Classification: Query
Surnames: ROGERS, HOOD
Seeking any information on this family.

Arthur Perley Rogers, born 7 Sept 1880 Chelsea, Orange County, Vermont,
son of Perley William Rogers & Alice Lucinda Dunham

Married 20 Sept 1905, Chelsea, Orange County, Vermont

Pearl Lillian Hood, born 28 Apr 1887 (location unknown),
daughter of Josiah Hood & Helen Pratt

Children:
Clifton Rogers, born 14 Feb 1907
Nellie Gertrude Rogers, born 15 Mar 1909, Strafford, Orange County, Vermont
Alice Lillian Rogers, born 15 Mar 1909, Strafford, Orange County, Vermont
Clyde A Rogers, born 9 Sep 1917

At some point, Arthur Perley Rogers and family moved from Vermont to Buffalo, NY. My mother says he went blind after breaking the world's record for flag-pole-sitting, from being in the bright sun so long.

A picture of him at a fair in Buffalo, NY (I believe), on top of the pole has a sign below that says:

Arthur (Colonel) Rogers
"Flag Pole Sitter"
World Record
Now 1370 hours

This is my great-grandmother's brother. Would like to know when and where any of these family members died and were buried. When, where, and to whom the children married, and if there are any of his descendants still living. Happy to share with them the research I have on the Rogers family here in Vermont.

Thank you... Tootsie
